The first Panther of the Week is going to Lilli Amettis from the volleyball team.
The senior outside hitter from Forsyth was named the most valuable player of the Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Championships.
Amettis totaled 37 kills across the three games of the tournament.
The Panthers won the OVC championship with a 3-0 victory over Morehead State in the final.
Eastern will take on Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Championships.
The second Panther of the Week is going to Tiny Lewis from the women’s basketball team.
The senior guard from St. Cloud, Minnesota, scored double figures in all three of the Panthers’ games of the Louisville MTE last week.
Lewis contributed 13 points in Eastern’s 68-63 win over Bellarmine on Saturday for the team’s first win of the season.
The Panthers are now 1-7 on the season after playing three games in as many days.
