
The male Panther of the Week is going to Chris Worcester from the baseball team.
The graduate infielder from Bloomingdale was an integral piece of Eastern’s offense in its three-game sweep of Lindenwood last weekend.
Worcester went 7-for-15 and drove in six runs in Eastern’s three-game series sweep of Lindenwood over the weekend.
In game two of the series, Worcester came up to bat with two runners on base in a tie game and delivered a two-out two RBI double to give the Panthers a 5-3 lead. Eastern held on for a 5-4 victory.
In the series finale, Worcester hit three doubles and drove in two runs while scoring one run himself. Worcester was named an OVC notable performer for his performance.
Eastern was one of four teams to record a series sweep in the first weekend of OVC play. The Panthers take on Morehead State at home for a three game series this weekend.

The female Panther of the Week is going to Rylan Gick from the softball team.
The sophomore from West Lafayette, Indiana pitched two complete games in Eastern’s three-game sweep of Southern Illinois Edwardsville over the weekend.
In game one of the series, Gick picked up a five inning complete game victory after the Panthers beat SIUE 12-4. She allowed four earned runs on as many hits while striking out seven. Gick recorded a two out save, her first save of the season, to help the Panthers nail down a 6-5 win in game two of the series.
In the final game, Gick pitched a complete seven innings and allowed five hits and three earned runs and added three strikeouts.
Eastern extended its winning streak to 10 games, and improved to 9-0 in OVC play after the series sweep of SIUE.
