The female Panther of the Week is going to Destiny Walker from the volleyball team.

The sophomore outside hitter from Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, got 60 kills to lead the Panthers to a 3-0 week.

Walker averaged 5.30 points per set and five kills per set to be named Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the week.

Walker’s season-high 23 kills led the Panthers to a Tuesday victory over Western Illinois. Her 21 kills on Saturday’s game against SEMO once again let the Panthers to a four-set victory.

The male Panther of the Week is going to Adam Boykin from the men’s soccer team.

The sophomore forward from Edwardsville scored his second goal of the season in the team’s 2-0 win over Southern Indiana on Sunday.

Boykin scored the eventual game-winning goal in the first half.

Across both games last week, Boykin hit the target with six of his nine shots and was a big contributor to the Panthers’ front line.

Eastern stayed unbeaten for a third consecutive game for the second time since 2019 and moved into fifth place in the OVC.
