The female Panther of the Week is going to Alex Tetteh from the women’s soccer team.
The junior forward from Plainfield scored two goals last week. Tetteh scored the opening goal in Eastern’s 1-1 draw with Southern Indiana and the match winner against Southeast Missouri in the team’s 1-0 win on Sunday.
The goal on Sunday was Tetteh’s fourth game-winning goal this season, which is the most in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Eastern restored a four point gap on top of the OVC standings with three games to go. Sunday’s win clinched a spot in the OVC tournament for a third consecutive year for the program. A victory over Lindenwood on Thursday would clinch a top four finish for the Panthers.

The male Panther of the Week is going to Fabricio Roberti from the men’s soccer team.
The senior defender from Sao Paulo, Brazil scored a game-winning goal in Eastern’s 2-0 win over Incarnate Word on Sunday.
Roberti’s goal was the first of his Eastern career and snapped a three-game streak where the Panthers went without scoring a goal.
Sunday’s win moves Eastern into seventh place after four games. The Panthers have equaled their points total from last year season.
