The female Panther of the week is going to Alex Tetteh from the women’s soccer team.
The junior forward from Plainfield scored five goals across Eastern’s two games in Ohio Valley Conference play last week.
Tetteh scored four goals in Thursday’s 4-0 win over Western Illinois. She became the first player in the OVC to score four goals in a game since 2013, and the third in program history to score that many goals in a game. The last time an Eastern player scored four goals in a game was 1996.
Tetteh is joint-top among the goal scorers in the OVC and is the team-leader with six goals on the season.

The male Panther of the week is going to Jacarre Fleming from the football team.
The redshirt freshman from Hahira, Georgia, rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s game.
Fleming was named the Big South-OVC freshman of the week as well as the STATS Perform Football Championship Subdivision freshman of the week.
Fleming’s 177 all-purpose yards led Eastern to a 31-23 win over Western Illinois in the first conference game of the season.
