The male Panther of the Week is going to Joe Stoddard from the track and field team.
The sophomore distance runner from Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, posted a first place finish in the DePaul Blue Demon Alumni Classic.
Stoddard recorded a first place finish in the 3,000 meter run with a final time of 8:24.51.
The female Panther of the Week is going to Kira Manganello from the softball team.
The freshman catcher from New Orleans, Louisiana, recorded two home runs against Prairie View A&M on Sunday afternoon.
Manganello’s first home run occurred in the top of the second inning, scoring for herself, freshman Abbi Hatton and fifth year Abbey Crain.
The second home run came in the top of the sixth inning, scoring Crain again.
Eastern recorded the win over Prairie View A&M 5-2 to wrap up the Incarnate Word Tournament.
