Flamm Orchards hires around 130 to 150 workers per season to plant, tend to and process crops for thousands of families. Flamm Orchards is one of many farms in cooperation with Illinois’ statewide program to curb hunger and help stock food banks. All Access with Tom Akers, head track and field coach: Akers follows brother’s path

When Tom Akers, Eastern head coach and director of track and field, was in junior high school he was a three-sport athlete. Akers enjoyed playing basketball, football and track and field, but it was his brother Steve who really got him interested in continuing to compete in track and field.
