This Sunday evening at the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Unity Gospel Ministry will be holding an event called, “Live, Think, Be Intentional “.

The night will consist of singing, dancing, gospel comedian Sir Phil, and guest speaker Dr. Latasha Nesbitt who is an alumna of the organization. The group holds the events with a purpose to show their praise to God, and to share appraisal with others.

The church is located on 2206 4th St. and the event is at 6:30pm and attendees will not have to pay any admission fees.

The name “Live, Think, Be Intentional” was given to this event by the Vice President of this ministry, DeAndrea D. Brown. Brown said that the organization’s executive board decides the title for each event, and that the Vice President makes the finalized decision for the event name.

She also said that the idea for their event names are based off of a theme that is relevant to the needs on campus. These concerts are usually held on campus once or twice a semester according to Brown.

The Unity Gospel Choir has not only made their voices heard through song and dance, but through their community services for Charleston and specifically for Eastern.

Even though it is an RSO group, the Gospel Choir encourages all ages to join their organization.

“We’re trying to make the ministry more diverse” said Brown.
