RHA to elect new exec member

The Residence Hall Association will be electing an officer for the National-Illinois Communications Coordinator position today in the lobby of McKinney Hall.

Andrew Lilek, vice president of RHA and a junior graphic design major, said he is looking forward to the election process at the meeting.

“We are interested to see how the elections will turn out,” he said.

Lilek said he appreciates the work that has been done and looks forward to working with the executive board’s newest member.

“All candidates have great qualities that would make an excellent addition to the executive board,” he said.

Nick Allen, a freshman pre-management major, is one of the nominees for the National-Illinois Communications Coordinator position.

“I’m really excited for elections tomorrow because I am running against two great nominees,” he said.

Allen said he hopes the best person for the position wins.

Allen is a representative for Taylor Hall and said he is also excited for the start of “Battle of the Towers,” which is a series of programs between Taylor South and Taylor North.

Monday will be the first of these, entitled “Catch Phrase.”

He said there will also be a discussion about a spring philanthropy program that was suggested by one of the Taylor Hall residents.

Reports will be given from each of the residence halls representatives as well.

The delegation for Illinois Residence Hall Association will also meet following the RHA meeting.
