Paws and Claws: Wii Fitness vs Regular Fitness

Fitness-and being slim-are a few concerns in today’s society.

There are hundreds of fitness gadgets and weight-loss fads.

The popular Wii gaming system even came out with the Wii Fitness.

The game has a way for users to chart their body fat and weight. It also contains multiple activities and exercises.

Many of the activities are games that involve movement, or even different muscle toning exercises.

The game keeps track of the number of calories burned per session.

Is the Wii Fit enough to help someone lose a desired amount of weight?

The Wii Fit is great for tracking the user’s weight loss and body fat.

It also lets the user know if they are overweight, normal, or underweight.

These things are very helpful for someone trying to get in shape.

The exercises on the Wii Fit can help tone muscle and burn calories, but the results are very minimal compared to someone who hits the gym to workout and do cardio.

Regular fitness is still better than just doing the Wii Fit.

One Wii Fit exercise burns between two and 20 calories, but 20 minutes on the bike at the gym can burn over 100 calories.

Also, the Wii exercises have no weights.

They can still help tone, but there is no weight being added.

At the gym, the same exercises can be done with weights to help tone and build more muscle.

Wii Fit cannot compare to regular fitness, but it is better than nothing.

If the Wii Fit is the only exercise a person or child will do, then it is better than nothing. Calories can still be burned on the Wii.

The main advantages to the Wii are that it can be done at home, and it is fun!

You hardly notice you are actually working out!

The games are entertaining and cause weight loss. The exercises can also be done in the home at anytime.

There are advantages to the Wii Fit, and it can be very helpful for someone trying to lose weight and get in shape, but regular fitness and workouts in the gym can still cause more calories to be burned and more muscle to be built.
