Students putting skills put to the test

Even though the biggest water hazard is only a couple feet wide, the participants in the intramural mini golf event are not taking any chances.

The 18-hole tournament at Charleston’s Putt N’ Swing gives students the chance to show off their mini golf skills this afternoon.

As of Tuesday afternoon, between 30 and 40 people signed up. With a men’s and women’s singles and team division, there will be several different winners.

“It’s an individual sport first,” said intramural director Kevin Linker. “Teams are added for additional competition.”

The event does have a $2 charge because the facility is outside of the campus, said Linker.

Tee off starts at 4:00 p.m. today at Charleston’s Putt N’ Swing located on 18th Street across from the Rotary Pool.
