Humaira Ahmed, a counseling graduate student, works at her laptop for one of two classes she is taking over the summer at the Buzzard Hall Atrium.

Ahmed said one class is a three-week course, so classwork has dominated her summer schedule.

With a fast-paced college course comes some stress, but she said she manages it by going outside and enjoying the city of Charleston.

“I’m new to the Charleston area and it’s, like, pretty quiet, so I’ll just go for a walk or something around my neighborhood, which is pretty close to Buzzard,” Ahmed said.
