Faculty Senate to discuss the future

William Weber, the faculty senate vice president for business affairs, will gather input from the faculty senate relating concerns about the university that members feel must be addressed.

Weber will compile the Future Timeline of Strategic Planning, which will allow the administration to identify and prioritize areas of concern, based off suggestions posed by constituents across campus.

Amy Edwards, director of planning and institutional studies, said that gathering input is part of the planning process for Eastern’s future.

“Dr. Weber will approach different groups and ask for the concerns they feel Eastern must address,” Edwards said. “At the meeting, he will give the timeline of 2010 to 2020 and ask the faculty senate to come up with issues and trends that they feel will apply to the university.”

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the Booth Library Conference Room.
