A power failure in the Student Services building caused Internet servers to go down both on and off campus around 9 a.m. Friday.

The circuit breaker failed, and an electrician had to come to campus to fix the problem, said Thomas MacMullen, Eastern network specialist.

Most systems were back up within 10 minutes, MacMullen said.

“We continually strive to minimize these sorts of outages,” he said.
