Graduation nears for seniors

As graduation nears, it is that time again for graduating seniors to celebrate with their friends and families at the 2006 Spring Commencement.

“I think that commencement is one of the finest days of the year,” said Eastern President Lou Hencken. “It celebrates the students who have completed their (studies) and are moving on.”

Each graduate will receive seven tickets, which can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, through Friday, May 5, in the hallway outside of 1117 Old Main.

Students must have their ID and sign for their allotted guest tickets.

Four different commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday May 6 in Lantz Arena.

The ceremonies are at 9 a.m. for the College of Sciences, noon for the College of Arts and Humanities, 3 p.m. for the College of Education and Professional Studies and 6 p.m. for the Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences.
