The Charleston City Council will look at lessening the city’s parking Tuesday.

The council will vote on whether to approve an ordinance eliminating parking on both sides of A Street between Jackson and Van Buren Avenues to ease school bus traffic. The ordinance was on file for public inspection for two weeks.

The council will also decide whether to accept the Coe Equipment of Rochester, Ill., bid

for a new sewer camera system in the city.

The authorization of a joint agreement between NE-CO Asphalt Company, Inc. and

the city for area road improvements is up for council approval.

The City Council will also announce the bid award for water treatment plant bond insurance to

MBIA Insurance Corporation of Armonk, New York.

A closed executive session where council will discuss contract and personnel

matters is scheduled following the meeting.

The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers of City Hall on Jackson Avenue.
