Eastern students react to terrorist attack on World Trade Center and Pentagon

Emotions run high on the Eastern campus as word circulates about a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon jointly.

Two high-jacked 747’s were aimed and flown directly into the World Trade Center towers Tuesday morning while yet a thrid high-jacked aircraft was flown into the Pentagon at roughly 8:45 am CST.

“That’s something you think would happen in a movie,” said Kamesa Harold, a sophomore speech communication major. “I hadn’t heard anything about that.”

While most Eastern students are still just hearing the news about the attack, those who have are visibly shaken.

“I think it’s kind of shocking,” said Tara Semple, a junior speech communication major. “I wonder what the President’s action’s are going to be.”

Both World Trade Center towers have collapsed completely under their own weight after being struck.

Reports are still sketchy as to the offical terrorist organization claiming responsibility, although references to an Palastine terrorist organization have been mentioned as taking credit.

Currently all of New York is on alert and all FAA flights have been cancelled. As a precaution the Sears town in Chicago has also been evacuated.
