Annual library book sale to be held today

The annual Booth Library book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the basement of McAfee Gymnasium.

Jocelyn Tipton, chair of the National Library Week Committee at Booth Library, said books will not be sold exclusively.

VHS tapes, cassette tapes and magazines also will be available at the sale, Tipton said.

She said all items at the sale are donated by the campus community, so some may be used, and others may be new.

Items at the book sale will cost between 50 cents and $2 and will cover a wide variety of subjects, Tipton said.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase new books and enhance the library’s services.

“We are hoping to have a good turnout and hope that people are interested in the books,” Tipton said.
