Petitions due soon

Faculty petitions for campus committee and council elections

are required to be turned in to Faculty Senate vice chair Bud

Fischer by 2 p.m. today.

“There are still open positions on all the committees and

councils,” said Fischer, biological sciences professor. “People

should really try to get those petitions with the answers to

the questions into me by 2 p.m.”

Five positions are open on the Faculty Senate.

Four positions are open on both the Council of University

Planning and Budget and the Sanctions and Termination Hearing

Committee.

Three positions apiece are available on the Academic Program

Elimination Review Committee, the University Personal

Committee, the Council on Teacher Education and the Council on

Academic Affairs.

Two positions are open on the Council of Graduate Studies, and

one position is available on both the Admissions Appeal Review

Committee and the Enrollment Management Advisory Committee.

Elections are scheduled to be held on April 11 and 12.

Fischer said he is hoping not to have to extend the deadline

for the return of the petitions.

“There is not much leeway left in the schedule,” Fischer said.

Petitions and additional information is available on the

Internet at the Faculty Senate Web page.
