With Halloween coming up, Eastern has multiple events to celebrate.

To kick off the events, Stevenson Tower Dining will be hosting a Halloween themed dinner on Friday from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and is available to all who make a reservation for Stevo Reservation Only Dining. Each year the event happens, the course that sees a change varies, but this year the desserts will feature graveyard dirt pudding, icky sticky worms and Halloween themed sprinkles to decorate your own cookie with.

Later in the week on Oct. 30, Drew Britton and Film Communications 3530 will be hosting a costume party starting at 6 p.m. with pizza and candy in the main auditorium of Buzzard Hall, 1501. At 6:30 p.m., a costume contest will be held with a $25 gift card prize. Finally, at 7 p.m., there will be a screening of The Evil Dead (1981).

Britton expressed his excitement for the event saying, “I’d love to throw a party every Halloween.”

On Oct. 30, there will be a “Greeks & Trees event at  Greek Court from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for trick-or-treating. Multiple games will also be available to play such as pumpkin tic-tac-toe and jumbo Jenga.

Lastly, Pemberton Hall will host the “Carnival of Terror” from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 3-4.

Tickets will cost $4 per person or $7 for two people (cash only) with all proceeds being donated to HOPE, a domestic violence prevention and intervention service located in Charleston, Ill.
