Eastern’s women’s basketball team suffered its first conference loss of the season as SIUE defeated the Panthers 82-77 in Edwardsville Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers’ 17 turnovers were a major factor in giving up a loss to SIUE.

SIUE’s Ajulu Thatha and Mikayla Kinnard were also major factors as they put up 17 and 22 points respectively.

The Panthers knew coming into the game that Thatha was going to be a challenge to guard and keep under wraps.
