The Eastern men’s soccer team will hit the road to face fellow Summit League opponent Lindenwood University at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams will be dialed in for this one with both sitting at 0-2 in league play.

The Panthers are coming off a loss at home following last Saturday’s matchup against Southern Indiana. Eastern ended a three-game scoreless streak with two goals on the afternoon, but it was not enough.

Eastern looks to build off their offensive momentum against a Lindenwood team that has lost four straight games. Their last win came against Southern Indiana where they narrowly escaped with a 2-1 victory with the game winning goal coming from sophomore, Roland Dearborn, in the 86th minute.

Panthers leading scorer Sam Eccles increased his goal total with his third and fourth goals of the season. The performance ties him with four other players for the league lead. Eastern’s offense should have plenty of opportunities as Lindewood has allowed the most goals per game among Summit League teams.

The Panthers’ quest to secure their first conference win of the year will be available from St. Charles on ESPN+.
