JJ Bullock, Editor-in-Chief

We at The Daily Eastern News would like to introduce our new digital-column series “DEN at Home,” where we will be inviting all of our Eastern student, faculty and staff readers to submit to us for publication their stories of social distancing from home.

Our staff at The Daily Eastern News will be submitting their DEN at Home stories too, and we highly encourage you to as well.

The aim of this series is to create a space where everyone in the Eastern community can share their stories with each other about what they have been doing during this historic time of social distancing. Tell us a movie, show or video game recommendation. Suggest a workout routine, tell a funny or sad story. Whatever you want to include in your letter is up to you.

We want to hear your stories and how classes have been going. What you have been doing to keep yourself busy? Anything you can tell us and the rest of the Eastern community about your time staying safe at home is what we’re aiming for.

This series gives us the opportunity to stay connected with each other despite the stay-at-home orders in place across the country. The series will also serve as a form of record-keeping and a home where our stories of quarantine can be saved forever.

To submit your “DEN at Home” column, write your story in 500 words or less and send it to us via email at [email protected][email protected] or [email protected]. Just put your name, year in school and major, or what you do at Eastern along with the phrase “DEN at Home” in the subject of the email. You may include an image of yourself from quarantine as well.

We look forward to hearing your stories and we look forward to sharing ours with you.

Stay safe Panthers. And remember, we’re at home together.
