Student senator charged with theft, computer fraud

David D. Hagler, Student Senate diversity affairs chair and marketing senior, was arrested Saturday afternoon at the University Police Department for allegedly committing theft, according to University Police Department Chief Kent Martin.

Hagler was released Sunday on $0 bond, according to the Coles County Sheriff’s Office’s recently confined inmate report.

Hagler has been charged with theft and computer fraud, according to the University Police Department blotter released Monday.

According to his biography on the Student Senate website, Hagler is a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
