A candlelight vigil in honor of domestic violence victims will be hosted by HOPE of East Central Illinois at Morton Park at the Rennels Pavilion from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Motherlode will perform from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by the vigil and speakers until 8 p.m.

The Clothesline Project will be going on throughout the event.

“Domestic violence survivors, loved ones and anyone else who cares about domestic violence” are invited to speak during the event or read poetry.

The vigil is meant to “honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence in our community and those who have survived,” according to the poster for the event.
