Eastern’s annuitants association speaker series will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday with Charles Wheeler III in the Charleston/Mattoon room of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.

Wheeler is one of the leading authorities on Illinois politics and government and has followed state politics for 50 years, according to the press release.

He will talk about the state of the state, according the press release.

John Ryan, president of the annuitants association, said in the press release those who attend are sure to gain a better understanding of recent Springfield events.
