IHSA boys track, field state semifinals, finals to come to O’Brien Field

The Illinois High School Association’s Boys Track and Field state semifinals and finals will take place at O’Brien Field Thursday through Saturday.

All the semifinals in class 1A will be held on Thursday.

The field events, including pole vault, long jump, triple jump and high jump F will all begin at 10 a.m.

All running events, including shot put, pole vault and discus, will begin at 11 a.m.

The track events will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 2:52 p.m.

All the semifinals for classes 2A and 3A will be on Friday.

Of the field events for class 2A, the long jump, triple jump and high jump will all begin at 8 a.m. Shot put and pole vault will begin at 9 a.m., and discus will begin at 10:55 a.m.

The track events for class 2A will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12:18 p.m.

Of the field events for class 3A, the long jump, triple jump and high jump all begin at noon. Pole vault begins at 12:30 p.m., shot put begins at 1:05 p.m. and discus begins at 2:45 p.m.

The track events for class 3A begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

Finals in all events for all classes and the wheelchair division will be on Saturday.

Of the field events, the long jump, triple jump, shot put, pole vault and high jump all begin at 10 a.m. Discus begins at 12:30 p.m.

The track events will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 4:20 p.m. The team awards will be given out at 5 p.m.
