Christopher Collet, a senior from Seneca High School, holds up three fingers, alluding to the triple crown, as he crosses the finish line in first place with a time of 4:24.71 during the final 1600-meter run in Class 1A on May 25. Collet was competing in the Illinois High School Association Boys Track and Field state semifinals and finals, which took place at O’Brien Field May 23 through May 25. He also earned first place in the prelim 1600-meter run with a time of 4:25.16 and first place in the final 3200-meter run with a time of 9:36.99.
