1 person shot in Charleston

Police officers are searching for suspects who reportedly shot a man in an apartment building on the corner of A Street and Buchanan Avenue at approximately 3:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The man was shot in the hallway of the building and later taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to Chief Chad Reed.

Reed said they do not believe it was a random shooting and that they believe the suspects knew the victim.

Currently no one is in custody for the shooting.
