A man has turned himself in for a stabbing on Jan. 4 in the 300 block of Madison Ave.

Lorenzo Patton, 44, turned himself into the Coles County Jail following a warrant issued for his arrest for aggravated battery.

The victim was transported to Carle Clinic for treatment and was released, according to a press release from the Charleston Police Department.

The Eastern Illinois University Police Department, East Central Illinois Drug Task Force, and Cole County Crisis Team assisted in the investigation.
