Eastern alumna Scott Rinefort will give a presentation on “The Business of Healthcare—Current Perspectives and Future Essentials” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 2030 of Lumpkin Hall.

Rinefort received his bachelor’s in business from Butler University and master’s in business administration from Eastern. He began his healthcare career as director of marketing and new markets for a senior housing/hospital development company.  Rinefort then worked at PacifiCare and United Healthcare.

The title of Rinefort’s presentation is “The Business of Healthcare—Current Perspectives and Future Essentials.”

“The program brings real-world business experience into the classroom,” said Denise Smith, interim chair of the school of business. “Because healthcare administration and promotion are growing fields, Mr. Rinefort was the (alumnus) selected because of his distinguished career in the area. We looked for an (alumnus) who has had a distinguished career in the area.”
