‘Get Lucky Fest’ tickets on sale

Tickets will be on sale Tuesday and Wednesday for the “Get Lucky Fest”, a University Board-sponsored event.

Chicago bands Lucky Boys Confusion and Penny and the Loafers will perform during the “Get Lucky Fest,” scheduled for Wed. March 27 in the McAfee Gymnasium.

Lucky Boys Confusion, who will headline the fest, signed a record deal with Elektra Entertainment in 2000, the label that produces the bands POD and Less than Jake, a press release state.

Penny and the Loafers, the opening act, have previously played at Eastern in 7th Street Underground, the release said.

Both acts are punk-type bands.

Tickets are $5 and are available in the ticket office in the Union from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., said Katie Strejc, the UB’s coordinator and a senior speech communication major.

Tickets will be available to Eastern students only on Tuesday and Wednesday with a 10-ticket limit per person. After Wednesday ticket sales will open to the public, Strejc said.

Tickets may be charged by phone by calling 581-5122.

Strejc also said that tickets to the “Get Lucky Fest” may be available at the door, depending on sales before the concert.
