Panthers lose 17-10 against Dayton

The Eastern football team fell to 0-3 on the season with a 17-10 road loss to Dayton.

Eastern held its first lead of the season into halftime, leading the Flyers 3-0.

Dayton scored 17 unanswered points in the second half before Eastern quarterback Otto Kuhns drove the Panthers down the field for a touchdown with 19 seconds left in the game.

An onside kick attempt was unsuccessful, and Dayton ran out the clock to end the game.

Eastern will play its home opener next Saturday against Illinois State in the 109th Mid-American Classic.
