Eastern’s Naming Committee will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3 via a Zoom video conference call.

They are meeting to continue discussing the survey and forum questions for the potential Douglas Hall name change.

The committee will also be providing an update on the guest speaker who can speak to the committee on the Lincoln-Douglas debate. At prior meetings, they have discussed possible guest speaker recommendations, and so far, David Kent Coy has been recommended because he is well-versed on the topic.

Other business or items for discussion will also be discussed as needed.

Participants, observers, interested media, and those wishing to make public comment can join the meeting. Time will be set aside for the committee to hear public comments from participants.

Public comments will be limited to three minutes per individual and a total of 20 minutes for all public comments. Public comments may also be submitted in written form to Vice President for University Advancement Ken Wetstein’s email: [email protected].
