Faculty Senate to discuss possible amendment, grading scale change

The Faculty Senate will meet Tuesday to continue conversation on a potential constitution amendment update.

The change has been brought up several times over the semester and is regarding the article four, section two of the Faculty Senate Constitution.

The section that will be up for discussion reads “Members of the faculty, as defined by Article I, shall become eligible for election to the Faculty Senate in their fourth semester of appointment in the university.”

The Senate will also further discuss a potential grading change that would use a plus/minus system for grading.

Another continued discussion will be on the Think Tank committee.

Other business items include a report from the provost and a report from the Faculty Senate chair.

Committee reports will be heard from the Executive Committee, Elections and Nominations, the Student Senate, the Student and Staff Relations Committee, the Awards Committee, the Faculty Forum Committee and Budget Transparency.
