A man was shot and airlifted to Carle Clinic for treatment of his gunshot wound early Thursday morning, according to a Charleston Police Department press release.

The man was shot in the 2200 block of Ninth Street, near University Court around 4:43 a.m.

All involved parties have been accounted for and are being interviewed by CPD, according to the press release.

More information will be released by the department as it becomes available.
