CAA to discuss BIO course amends

The Council on Academic Affairs will vote on modifying biology course BIO 3888G to include the study abroad course on Tuesday during its 2 p.m. meeting in Room 4440 of Booth Library.

The council will also vote on seven more executive action items.

Along with biology, TEC 4970 or Special Topics in Technology may also see a course description change to allow repeat credit for the class if the council votes to approve the action item.

Prerequisites for BIO 4954, EGT 2324 and EGT 2773 could undergo a change as well pending approval from the council.

Students majoring in music, construction management and engineering may have more course elective options awaiting the council’s approval.

Lastly, the council will hear a proposal to remove major restrictions from OPD 4810.

Another item to be discussed at the meeting is populating the Gen Ed Committee for the academic year 2019-2020.

The committee will be assessing learning goals for general education.

The council will also discuss the launch of the electronic course proposal.

The council will discuss CAA representation on the International Education Council.

on an item to revise CAA bylaws.

Provost Jay Gatrell will also present to the council during the meeting.

The content of the presentation is unknown, according to the agenda.
