CAA revises political science course

Luis Martinez, Administration Editor

The Council on Academic Affairs approved a revision for a political science course that was pending on the agenda.

The revision for PLS 3253 has been on the council’s agenda since the first week of the semester.

The original issue that the council had with the revision was that they were unclear as to what was being revised.  When they were looking at the proposal, the council members believed that they were looking at a brand new course instead of a revision.

The council members tabled the revision until they had received confirmation as to what was being revised.

During meeting, the council finally approved the course revision after looking into a more detailed explanation as to what the revision to PLS 3253 would entail.

The revisions to the class are to expand upon more human rights topics.

The council also added four new items to be brought up and discussed during the next meeting.

The council will be looking at more revisions for GEG 3070, GEG 3080, KSS 3700 and KSS 3860 as well as looking at a pending revision for BUS 3500, which was discussed during the last meeting; however the council requires more information before they would approve the revision.
