Entire Student Supreme Court to be presented tonight

Student Body President Levi Bulgar will be presenting all of the Student Supreme Court at tonight’s Student Senate meeting.

“I have two last minute applications, and I have two more interviews before the meeting,” he said. “I will be appointing all the members at the meeting.”

Jacob Griffin, a junior political science major, will also be appointed Chief Justice for the Student Supreme Court.

“I will mention why I picked him at the meeting,” Bulgar said. “All the members will introduce themselves again and say why they want to be on the court, and I will say why they were chosen.”

Bulgar also wants to have profiles for the Student Senate members at the meeting about all the members of the court.

Also at the meeting, a line item transfer for University Board movies will be voted on.

The transfer was for $2,600 and went through Apportionment Board unanimously.

University Board asked for $2,600 to fund the second student film festival and for money to play movies in the spring.

This proposal was tabled from last week’s Student Senate meeting.

Two other additional allocations, one for Apportionment Board payroll and one for University Board marketing will also be presented at the meeting.

The payroll allocation went through Apportionment Board unanimously and the UB marketing allocation was 10-1.

The marketing allocation was for $3,000 in Daily Eastern News ads.

“We want to have bigger ads for more popular events, such as Up All Night,” said Matthew Hagaman of UB marketing.

The payroll allocation was for around $2,670.

A resolution for a library hours survey from academic affairs committee may be presented to Student Senate as well.

“If it goes on the agenda, academic affairs will present the survey to the Student Senate and if it passes, they will have it ready to go for after Christmas break,” said Student Senate member Michelle Adeniyi.
