The male Panther of the Week is going to Gui Gragnano from the men’s soccer team.
The junior forward from Sao Paulo scored two goals in the final 13 minutes of the Panthers’ 3-1 win over Western Illinois on Saturday.
Gragnano’s two goals earned him Ohio Valley Conference offensive player of the week and helped the Panthers build a four point gap between themselves and the sixth and final placed team in the OVC standings.
The female Panther of the Week is going to Ariadna Pereles from the volleyball team.
The sophomore libero from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, tallied 78 digs across three games last week for the Panthers.
Pereles anchored the defense for an Eastern team that won all three of it’s games and improved its win streak to six.
The Panthers swept Little Rock to take sole control of second place in the OVC.
