The NCAA softball transfer portal opened May 18 and will remain open until June 16. Four players have entered the portal to leave the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference champions as of Saturday, May 31:
McKenzie Oslanzi
Incoming junior pitcher McKenzie Oslanzi committed to the University of Kentucky on Friday.
Oslanzi earned OVC Pitcher of the Year for the 2025 season and OVC Freshman of the Year in 2024.
She was also named first team All-OVC and National Fastpitch Coaches Association second team All-Region twice. As well as being a NFCA Top-25 freshman nationally and Eastern Illinois Athletics Female Newcomer of the Year in 2024.
During her two seasons at EIU, she posted a 2.24 ERA with 281 strikeouts, seven shutouts and 41 wins in 377 2/3 innings.
Offensively, she hit .231 with four home runs and 32 RBIs in 173 at-bats with about 76% of them during her freshman season.
Oslanzi has two more years of eligibility remaining.
Kendall Grover
Incoming senior infielder Kendall Grover announced she entered the transfer portal on her X account on May 21.
Grover won back-to-back OVC Player of the Year awards in 2024 and 2025, becoming the first to do so in conference history.
Other accolades she picked up during her three years at EIU were: three All-OVC first team selections, 2023 OVC Freshman of the Year, 2023 Eastern Illinois Athletics Female Newcomer of the Year and three NFCA All-Region selections.
She started every EIU softball game over the last two seasons and started in 30 games her freshman year.
In those 142 games, she hit .387 with 23 home runs, 95 RBIs and a .471 on-base percentage in 450 at-bats.. She also stole 36 bases.
Defensively, she totaled a .976 fielding percentage, including a perfect fielding percentage in 2025.
Grover has one more year of eligibility remaining.
Karson Davey
Incoming junior outfielder Karson Davey announced she entered the transfer portal on her X account on May 20.
She was selected to the All-OVC first team in 2025. In 2024, she was named to the All-OVC second team and OVC All-Newcomer team.
During her two seasons at EIU, she played in 110 games, starting in 104, including every game in 2025
She totaled a .291 batting average, 32 RBIs and 16 extra base hits in 316 at-bats. She also stole 23 bases.
Defensively, she totaled a .955 fielding percentage.
Davey has two more years of eligibility remaining.
Kira Manganello
Incoming sophomore catcher Kira Manganello announced she entered the transfer portal on her X account on Wednesday.
In her freshman season at Eastern she played in 28 games, starting in 20.
In 40 at-bats she hit for a .125 batting average and a .419 on-base percentage and had two home runs and 9 RBIs.
In the field she had a .960 fielding percentage.
Manganello has three more years of eligibility remaining.
