With winter sports kicking in full swing and spring sports being on the verge of starting their respective seasons, here are nine athletes to keep an eye on during the spring semester:

NaKyel Shelton
The senior guard from Chicago currently leads the team in total points with 258 in a span of 16 games.
Shelton currently averages 16.1 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
In the 16 games Shelton has played in, he recorded 84 rebounds, 36 assists, 22 steals and 14 blocks.

Kooper Jacobi
The graduate forward from Sellersburg, Indiana, currently has seven double doubles for the season.
In a span of 18 games, Jacobi recorded 241 points, 171 rebounds, 37 assists and 13 blocks.
Jacobi currently averages 13.4 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Last year, both Shelton and Jacobi helped the Panthers make it to their first Ohio Valley Conference tournament for the first time in five years.

Macy McGlone
The senior forward from Greenville, Wisconsin, currently has 10 double doubles for the season.
Throughout the course of 17 games, McGlone recorded 308 points and 187 rebounds, 34 blocks and 22 steals.
McGlone currently averages 18.1 points per game and 11 rebounds per game.
Last season, McGlone was named the 2023-2024 OVC Player of the Year and the OVC Defender of the Year.

Kiyley Flowers
The senior guard from Independence, Missouri is 15th in the nation in total steals with 53 total steals in a span of 17 games.
In a span of 17 games, Flowers recorded 99 points, 56 rebounds and 12 blocks.
Flowers currently averages 5.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Both Flowers and McGlone have helped the women’s basketball team go undefeated in the Ohio Valley Conference thus far with eight straight wins.
The Panthers have an overall record of 11-6.

Dylan Drumke
The redshirt senior outfielder from Libertyville played in 52 games last year.
Drumke ended the 2024 season with 57 hits and a batting average of 0.292.
Drumke also finished the season with 15 home runs, helping the Panthers finish with a 20-33 overall record and a 13-14 Ohio Valley Conference record.
The Panthers closed the 2024 season with a 12-4 loss against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the OVC Tournament.

McKenzie Oslanzi
The sophomore pitcher from Marseilles finished the 2024 season with numerous awards, including the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year and the EIU Female Newcomer of the Year award.
Oslanzi was also named part of the OVC All-Newcomer Team, First Team All-OVC, Second Team All-Region, the NFCA Freshman Top 25 and the CSE Freshman All-American First Team.
Oslanzi played in 52 games and recorded an earned run average of 1.70, recording 21 wins as the starting pitcher. Oslanzi also recorded four shutouts within the 172.2 innings she pitched.
On the other side of the ball, Oslanzi recorded a 0.260 batting average, recording three home runs.

Kendall Grover
The junior infielder from Mooresville, Indiana, was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year at the end of the 2024 season. Grover was also named part of the conference’s First Team and made the NFCA Third Team All-Region Team.
Grover played in 56 games, recording 10 home runs and a 0.368 batting average.
Both Grover and Oslanzi helped the softball team end the 2024 season with a 40-17 overall record and a 22-5 conference record.
The Panthers closed the 2024 season with a 4-2 loss against Southeast Missouri State in the OVC Tournament.

Ramsey Hunt
The graduate hurdler/jumper from Oakland was named part of the First Team All-OVC in the long jump category and the 4×100 relay as the second leg. Hunt was also named as a Second Team All-American in the long jump category.
During the indoor season last year, Hunt competed in six meets and won the gold medal in the long jump category with a jump of 25’0.75”, putting himself in the record books as the fourth highest record in the long jump category in program history.
During the outdoor season, Hunt finished in 10th place at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship with a jump of 24’11.25”.
To kick off the 2025 indoor season, Hunt recorded a first-place finish in the long jump category with a 7.60-meter jump.

Aleyla Wooten
The junior from Lakeland, Tennessee was named part of the 2024 Second Team All-OVC.
Wooten recorded a 5-1 record in conference play in singles matches with every match in the No. 2 spot.
Last season, Wooten played in 15 matches and won five singles matches and five doubles matches.
