CAA approves ownership of documents

The Council on Academic Affairs met Thursday to revise and approve new courses.

The unanimous approval of student record was decided upon at the meeting as well. After documents are sent to Eastern, they are officially property of Eastern. The documents will not be sent back to the students.

Revision courses that were approved:

  • CIT 3863, Cloud Cervices,
  • CIT 3883, Virtualization Technologies,
  • ACC 4400, Federal Income Taxation I,
  • NTR 4751, Nutrition Therapy
  • BS Nutrition & Dietetics major will add several foundation knowledge courses that are a part of the general education courses list to bring the curriculum into compliance with current ACEND accreditation standards,
  • The Accounting Discipline recommended and received approval of changing the accounting program’s mission state, removal of ACC 4800 from the major’s required courses, the addition of ACC 4760 to the major’s requirement courses, and adjustment of ACC 4400 to 4 credit hours,
  • EGT 4704 Engineering Technology Capstone,
  • NTR 4164, Professional Grant Writing.

The Department of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation proposes the creation of a B.S. in Exercise Science in Pre-Athletic Training Option.

The Engineering Technology Degree Program will reduce actions is to reduce prerequisite conflicts, simplify degree completion, attract community college students, provide more career focused areas of electives, and align the degree with the Association for Technology, Manufacturing and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) accreditation requirements.
