The Civic Engagement and Volunteerism Office is challenging the campus to be kind.

Throughout the month of March the office will post a daily challenge with the hashtag, #EIUKindnessChallenge.

According to a posting in the university newsletter, “These challenges will help promote kindness at EIU and in the greater community.”

For those interested in participating in the challenge all that is needed for participation is to follow @eiuvolunteers on Instagram to see the challenges and then post an entry following the prompt. Those who post for the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a dining dollar gift card.

The office is also hosting a donation drive for Children’s Advocacy Center of East Central Illinois until March 26.
