Faculty Senate to meet Tuesday

The Faculty Senate will hear from three guest speakers during its meeting Tuesday at 2 p.m.

The speakers will be Sue Gosse, associate professor of nursing, Andrew Kerins, assistant professor and graduate coordinator in the Recreation Administration Program and Heidi Ramrattan, assistant professor of communication disorders and sciences.

During the business section of the meeting they will also discuss a proposal on article IV, section 2.

The section states:

“Members of the faculty, as defined by Article I, shall become eligible for election to the Faculty Senate in their fourth semester of appointment in the university.”

The Seante has discussed the item at several meetings this semester.

During the business section of the meeting the Seante will hear a Think Tank committee update and reports from Provost Jay Gatrell and Faculty Senate Chair Don Holly.

Committee reports will include reports from the Executive Committee, Elections and Nominations, the Student Senate, the Student and Staff Relations Committee, the Awards Committee, the Faculty Forum Committee and Budget Transparency.

The next meeting will be held Dec. 8.
