Homecoming Court applications available

Eastern’s Homecoming committee opened applications for the 2020 Homecoming Court Wednesday.

Applications for court are due Monday, Sept. 28 at 8 a.m.

Candidates must be full-time Eastern students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and in good disciplinary standing to be eligible.

The four categories are Homecoming King, Homecoming Queen, Homecoming Prince and Homecoming Princess.

King and Queen candidates must be at junior and senior standing and currently 12 credit hours at Eastern’s and must have attended Eastern for at least semester.

Prince and Princess candidates must have more than 30 credit hours and no more than 60 credit hours, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and have been enrolled at Eastern for at least one full semester.

Scoring for the candidates will be as follows, 60 percent for their candidate essay, 10 percent for the candidate mach form and 30 percent will be from the total score for all candidates.

Other important dates include:

· An elections and coronation on Sept. 29

· Campaigning begins Sept. 30

· Campaigning ends Oct. 1

· Online Elections and Voting Sept. 30 at 8 a.m. – Oct. 1 a.m.

Official results will be announced on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. via social media, following the announcement all campaign materials must be deleted and removed.

The 2019 Homecoming Court included Homecoming Queen Brittany Britton, a senior sociology major, Homecoming King Isaiah McClarien, a senior sports and business management , Homecoming Princess Diana Argueta, a junior graphic design and Spanish major and Homecoming Prince Chateau Fouchea, a sophomore criminology major.
