Eastern extends Spring Break

Eastern announced Thursday that it will extend its Spring Break until March 29 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Eastern President David Glassman sent a message to the campus community indicating students will have the option of studying remotely from home or their campus residence after the break. Classes will be taught only online after the break.

All university offices will remain open. Faculty are expected to return to work on March 23. Student workers and graduate students are expected to return to work on March 23 as well.

Residence halls will be closed until March 23, students may return to them then.

All university events over 50 people will be postponed until May 1.
