1. Faculty Senate voices opinions on Coronavirus plans

Eastern’s Faculty Senate expressed concerns about Eastern potentially moving to online-only classes in response to the global COVID-19 outbreak at its meeting Tuesday. The possibility of cancelling both the spring concert and graduation have also been discussed. Full story:

2. Glassman issues statement on COVID-19

Eastern President David Glassman issued a statement Tuesday night saying Eastern is considering cancelling in-person classes and moving to an online-only model is response to the coronavirus outbreak. Glassman assured is his statement there is no evidence of the virus being present on Eastern’s campus at this time. Full story:

3.  March to City Hall scheduled for Wednesday

A march in protest of white supremacy messages found on campus to weeks ago is scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Booth Library. Those in attendance will march from Booth Library to City Hall. Full story:

4. Baseball team scores 12 runs in road win

The Eastern baseball team scored seven ninth inning run en route to a 12-4 win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Tuesday. The baseball team is now 7-6 this season. Full story:

5. Student Senate to discuss budget cuts

Eastern Student Senate will discuss how it can cut $2,727 from its budget. The Senate will present its plans for cuts to the budget appropriation board after spring break. Full story:
