Faculty Senate to hear guest reports

The Faculty Senate will hear from three guests during their meeting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Witters Conference Room, room 4440, in Booth Library.

Catherine Polydore, an associate professor in the department of college student affairs, will be speaking to the senate about the third annual Making Excellence Inclusive One-Day Conference, “Together We RISE: Reaching Inclusivity for Student Excellence.”

According to the press release for the event said it is “designed to raise awareness of the diverse challenges our students face, whether as members of underrepresented groups, as first-generation college students, as non-traditionally aged students, or as students with disabilities.”

The event will have five session blocks throughout the day.

The senate will also hear from Grant Sterling, the General Education Coordinator, on general education and from Kenneth Wetstein, Vice President for University Advancement, on university advancement.

The senate will discuss populating an adhoc subcommittee for test accommodations.
