Jackie Spinner to discuss her documentary

Jackie Spinner will be at Eastern Friday afternoon to discuss her documentary, “Don’t Forget Me,” that shares the experiences of three Moroccan families who have children with autism.

The event will be held in Buzzard Hall 1103 at 1 p.m. Spinner will discuss her experience raising two sons with autism as well as answer questions about her life and documentary.

Spinner is currently a journalism professor at Columbia College Chicago and was a reporter for The Washington Post for 14 years until she left in 2009.

Spinner covered the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for The Washington Post. The event is begin sponsored by the Student Council for Exceptional Children and the Journalism Department. Refreshments will be provided at the event.
